In a recent development, suspended Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Preneet Kaur cast her vote in favor of the expulsion of Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra over the 'cash-for-question' allegations. Preneet Kaur, who is the wife of former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, had herself been suspended by the Congress earlier this year due to her alleged involvement in anti-party activities.
The 15-member panel, led by Vinod Sonkar, adopted a 500-page report on Mahua Moitra, with six members voting in favor of her expulsion and four members opposing it. Preneet Kaur was among those who supported the report, confirming her vote for Moitra's expulsion while highlighting her status as a suspended Congress member.
